Its monday morning and......well, after having to deal with a another team mate not being able to perform the event at the last minute i was called upon to perform for a party in ......get ready for this.......A shoe store, Yup a shoe store. you might wonder why a shoe store well i'll tell you all about it.

In winnipeg there is a company called Town Shoes actually they are all across canada and they were running a promotion where they would select the top shoe-A-Holic form each province. I had to leave my day job " Car Sales" and head over to the exact opposite end of winnipeg to DJ for this event. Regular time from for me to get there would be 45 minutes maybe 1 hour in rush hour and guess what ..... rush hour in winnipeg will make you PULL YOUR HAIR OUT.

 With time running short i jumped my little 1990 honda civic hatch back laiden with all the equipment for the night and booted it over there in a very impressive ( But thankfully no speeding tickets) 15 minutes. weaving in and out of winnipeg traffic me in my little DJ mobile i was probably the smallest thing on the road cutting through backlanes and racing through yellow signal lights i got there in time.

 Got inside and there were shoes everywhere and quite a lot of staff members they were excited to see me even though i wasn't the original DJ for this winnipeg event i was dressed to the nines black shirt, silver tie and all they liked my very professional look so that was 1 of 10 points for me. they carefully explained they wanted caribbean and new top 40's music for their crowd.

 I met with their host/ MC and we instantly hit it off his personallity was through the roof, full of energy, vibrant and fun to be around, he gave quite a few prizes out to the guest at this invitation only party. music started and everything was great i helped annoucing different things such as prizes the shoe a holcs would receive and so forth 3 points. asking around i found out that one lady had 150 pars of shoes " WOW" that pretty impressive becuse i only have 3 pairs

as time went by i decided to play come really upbeat interactive songs where i proceeded to climb on top of the speakers (in plain view of everyone) and lead/ teach the crowd some great dance moves which they happily took part in, people in the store people out side the store everybody passing by were breaking their necks to see why there was such excitement.

everyone had such a great time and apparently our company has now set the bar pretty high for the other dj's they will be seeing accross canada. this made me feel good inside
